SKILLS CHALLENGES:

1. LONGEST PASS CHALLENGE View Challenge
The Longest Pass Challenge will test arm strength. While keeping behind a designated start line, Quarterback participants will throw the football as far as possible. Contestants may move backwards or sideways within a designed area in preparation for the throw. The football must land within the designated side boundaries in order to be considered a measurable throw. Points will be awarded from 1 point to a maximum of 25 points for distance.  The football distance will be measured at the point of impact to the ground. Each participant will be given two attempts. The score for the furthest measurable pass will be recorded.

Pass Distance     Points Awarded
10 yards   1 point
20 yards   2 points
30 yards   5 points
40 yards   10 points
50 yards   15 points
60 yards   20 points
70 yards   25 points

2. ACCURACY CHALLENGE View Challenge
Quarterback participants will test arm accuracy in the Accuracy Challenge.  Accuracy will be tested at three pre-determined distances. Level 1 will have two stationary targets located at the 10 yard line. Level 2 and 3 will challenge the participant to hit moving targets, one at the 20 yard line, the second at the 30 yard line.  Participants will be given one chance to hit each target in the Accuracy Challenge.

Target Scoring

3. PASS ON THE RUN CHALLENGE View Challenge
In the Pass on the Run Challenge quarterback participants will test their skill to hit a target while on the run. Quarterback participants will roll out around pylons to aim for stationary targets on the 10 yard line. Participants will repeat this on both the left and right side for the 10 yard line targets.  For the final pass participants will half roll out, either left or right, and aim for a moving target on the 20 yard line.

Target Scoring
Target Distance     Bulls Eye    Middle Red Circle    Outer Red Circle
10 yards (stationary)  10 points    5 points   3 points
10 yards (stationary)  10 points   5 points   3 points
20 yards (moving) 15 points 10 points   5 points
Maximum Points = 35

4. FOOTWORK CHALLENGE View Challenge

The Footwork Challenge will test the footwork agility of the quarterback participant. Participants will navigate pylons and step through tires then throw at a stationary target 15 yards away.  The participant will repeat the challenge from both left and right sides. The Footwork Challenge is a timed event with time credits awarded for successfully hitting the target. Time will remain as recorded for participants who miss the target. The participant time recorded for the Footwork Challenge will determine the winner when a tie exists in participant score.

Target Scoring
Target Distance     Bulls Eye    Middle Red Circle    Outer Red Circle
